New 2021 graphics for a ‘veteran’ racket – the Pure Drive Team is now in it’s 10th incarnation.
This has been the ‘go-to’ racket for competitive teens moving on from their first full size frame for many many years.
Also a constant favourite with ladies of all ages because, at 285g, it sits right in the sweetspot for frame weight.
The formula is well tried and tested and has proven extremely successful now for quite some time, so there are no major changes to this years model – but at the same time, the changes are not purely cosmetic.
New for this year, Babolat have incorporated their latest HTR System which increases torsional rigidity. The benefits of this are more efficient energy transfer to the ball and improved playing characteristics off-centre.
Another area that has seen some development is the shaft – where more SWX Pure Feel has been added. This is a thin viscoelastic rubber sandwiched in between layers of the graphite and the purpose is to help absorb more of the vibration that can result from the rackets stiff construction.
Of course, the Elliptic Frame Geometry which results in this high stiffness rating means that access to power is (literally) at your fingertips.
FSI Power Technology is here again – this is a combination of grommet design and spacing allowing free string movement – which contribute to the power and spin potential.
