The latest version of the ultimate Blade model with a few tweaks along the way to improve playability and overall feel – without re-inventing the wheel!
V7.0 sees the weight go up very slightly from 304 to 305g, while the balance has moved from 325 to 320mm – all in the name of making the racket more balanced and stable.
Feel Flex technology has been added. This was pioneered so successfully in the Clash range and uses Carbon Mapping to adjust the torsional rigidity of the racket – while allowing it to bend in specific ways to benefit from the explosive nature of the game. The end result is that players benefit from extra power without losing any of the feel or control elements.
What’s not changed is the thin (20.6mm) Flat Beam which gives the classic Blade feel and allows for precise control and touch.
Make no mistake – even with the added benefits, the Blade 98 is still a precision weapon – and especially so in the 18×20 string pattern!
